River Bend RV Park & Campground! Right on the Russian River!
SONOMA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA CAMPING
Sonoma County camping in Northern California doesn’t get any better than being along the water: swimming, fishing, tubing and canoeing. Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley has a rich history dating back to the early 1900’s. The Russian River was chosen by early settlers as a place to plant vineyards, grow wine grapes, and begin logging of the huge redwood trees. The moderate temperature, sun, and excellent soil – much like Napa Valley Wine Country – make it the ideal place to grow wine grapes. A railroad was built where River Road now lies, and various camps, restaurants, hotels and leisure facilities were built to accommodate both workers and vacationers. River Bend was built in the 1950’s in response to demand for Steelhead fishing, RV camping and backpacking industries.
We are a family-friendly RV park and campground located in the heart of the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. The area is set amidst several world-famous wineries. Korbel Champagne Cellars is a mile west of our property offering world-class sparkling wines, while Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards is just 10 miles east of us offering one of California’s most sought-after chardonnay wines. The quaint towns of Forestville & Guerneville offer shopping and dining just a few miles away. River Bend has a wide variety of RV and tent sites with many overlooking the Russian River. Many outdoor activities including ziplining, hiking, canoeing, swimming, backpacking, and fishing are all available near River Bend Resort. Burke’s Canoe Trips is just 3 miles away offering canoe trips that run right through our resort and on to the Pacific Ocean. A general store is available offering ice cold drinks, food provisions, and novelty items. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, water spicket, and fire ring. We are proud to be recognized as the only Good Sam Park in the Russian River Valley.
